Pause and remember

How often do you PAUSE your day to REMEMBER GOD?

Designated quiet times are so important, friends, but tonight I want to talk about something else.

Think with me for a moment about the last time you paused during your workday computer to remember the Lord. Think about the last time you consciously recalled a Bible verse as you cooked dinner, or the last time you prayed in the car. Think about the last time you began singing a hymn while cleaning or doing laundry.

I shamefully admit I don’t do this very often. I find myself compartmentalizing time with God to church and my quiet time. But spiritual maturity means developing a CONSTANT awareness of Him working throughout our days. Yes, even (especially) in the mundane ones.

Scripture reminds us to “rejoice ALWAYS, pray WITHOUT ceasing, give thanks in ALL circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.” (1 Thess‬ ‭5:16-18‬)

Will you join me in PAUSING your days this week to live in awe & awareness of Almighty God & His saving gospel?
