Prime Day Deals with Spiritual Purpose

It’s easy to see the words “Prime Day” flash across the screen and be sent into an eager panic of buying things you don’t really need. I’ve been there! 🙂 And while I’m all about saving money, it’s only “saving” if you would have spent it in the first place. So this year, I’m rethinking Prime Day. The items I choose to buy will have purpose – a spiritual purpose.

As you look towards a new year, consider the areas God might be asking you to grow. Maybe it’s reading God’s Word, memorizing Scripture, writing more intentional notes, or even reading more Christian books. Below are some special deals I found in all of the following areas that may help you narrow-in on a course of action. If you are interested in something not mentioned on this list, be sure to reach out to me at marina@thepursuitblog.co.

Bible Study

Studying God’s Word can’t be done without the Word itself. You may already have 17 Bibles in your house. If so, use one of those! But if you’re like me, every few years, it’s helpful to invest in a new Bible, perhaps a different version or with clean margins to write more notes in.

NIV, Journal the Word Bible for $14

Mason bought this exact Bible a year and a half ago and LOVES it! It’s a perfect size to tote around and also take notes in the margins (which we both love to do). I cannot believe it’s 65% off! Snag it here for $13.92.

The Bible in 52 Weeks – Women’s Bible Study

Okay…this study is an amazing way to learn the Bible and it’s on a lightening deal at a crazy price! This would make an amazing gift for someone or a goal for you in the upcoming year.

CSB Hosanna Revival Notetaking Bible for $32

Hosanna Revival Bibles are in high demand these days, but one of their beautiful new releases is 50% off on this Prime Day. Whether you give this as a gift or keep it for yourself, this Bible is a great investment.

Pastel (No Bleed) Highlighters for $3.19

A good set of highlighters is a perfect stocking stuffer or small gift for any friend. Plus, these colors make me so happy! I couldn’t believe the whole set is $3.19 right now.

Bible Tabs (Vintage Color) for $5

Learn your books of the Bible and stay organized with these cute and colorful tabs, on sale for 20% off!

Prayer

You don’t need products to pray. But if there’s a way you best communicate with the Lord and remember requests – whether it’s a journal or notecards or even a photo album – invest in it! I go through so many prayer journals every year.

Hardcover Journal for $6

This compact, lined-page journal is a great one for prayer, and I was surprised it was 15% off! It’s a great addition to any gift this holiday season.

Portable Photo Album for $8

Hear me out: have you ever thought about using a photo album to keep track of prayer requests? You can add/swap out notes, updates, pictures, lists as you want to. This could also be helpful for Scripture meditation or memory. It’s a great and simple idea to add to your quiet time this year.

Scripture Memory & Encouragement

What is one tool that would help you memorize Scripture better? For me, it’s often notecards and fun pens/markers. Maybe that could even be an app! It’s also important to think about ways you could encourage others with Scripture throughout the week.

Colorful Index Cards with Ring for $5

Writing out memory verses on index cards (maybe even color-coded by topic) is one of the simplest ways to keep track of what you’ve memorized so you can recall it time and time again. These are the cutest, most practical and affordable sets I’ve found.

Colored Journaling Pens for $6

There are a million options when it comes to journaling pens. I’ve looked at tons of different deals and this one is the best bang for your buck on Prime Day. I’ve gotten these before and totally would again!

Bible Verse Cards for $7

One practice I love is writing cards. When was the last time you wrote someone a note just because? It’s especially encouraging to receive a note with Scripture all over it. I was so excited when I saw these adorable cards on sale 38% off plus a 20% off coupon.

Christian Reading

One area I’ve struggled in the past few years is just reading helpful, formative Christian books. These never take the place of God’s Word, but they can be helpful as you grow. There weren’t many on Prime Day deals, but here’s what I found.

Amazon Kindle Paperwhite for $125

When Mason first went to seminary, he told me he didn’t want to have 23 book shelves full of books to lug around every time we moved, so he invested in a kindle. If you don’t have one yet, this can be a great (and cheaper in the long run) way to have access to all kinds of books.

Tactics (On Christian Apologetics) for $13

This is one of Mason’s go-tos for learning to defend and discuss Christian convictions. It’s a great book to get you thinking about tough issues. The paperback is 42% off!

The Meaning of Marriage for $7

This is a marriage must-read! If you already have a copy, this is a great chance to stock up to give as wedding gifts to every Christian couple you know at 69% off!

Bible/Book Carrying Case for $16

I had to mention this adorable cover/carrying case for your Bible, books, pens, highlighters, journals, etc. It’s a great way to keep everything central and accessible, especially when you’re trying to remember a lot of other things (and people) on your way to church. 🙂

Other honorable book mentions include Fighting Words by Ellie Holcomb, The Forgiveness Journal by Lysa TerKeurst, and Songs of Suffering by Joni Eareckson Tada, all on AMAZING deals this week.

Whether you’re looking for a new study resource or gift idea, I pray this post has been helpful to you to focus on deals that will fortify your spiritual life for the year to come.
